Greetings from Burlington Wine Shop,

Today we're featuring a few new wines from Savio Soares, including a German Muller Thurgau, a lively white Cheverny and a beautiful, classic styled Champagne. Add to that an Italian red from the Valle d'Aosta just above Piedmont and a bold California Cabernet and we have a fun mix of wines from all over the world that are well suited for the warm spring days ahead. We look forward to seeing you at the shop this afternoon.
Wine Sampling - New Arrivals for the Spring
              Saturday, April 20th - 1:00 - 7:00pm

We'll begin today's tasting with Schloss Mühlenhof,  Müller-Thurgau Trocken  ($14.99), a n aromatic and tropical expression of Müller-Thurgau made in a dry style with brilliant acidity and tiny bubbles on the edge of the glass, followed by Domaine Pascal Bellier, Cheverny Blanc ($18.99), a Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay blend with a nose of succulent stone fruits and honeysuckle, a light body and refreshing citrus notes supported by crisp acidity. For reds we'll start with Chateau Feuillet, Torrette Rosso (Reg. $29.99, Sale $19.99), a medium-bodied red with fresh raspberry and ripe black currant flavors, backed by gorgeous mineral notes creating an extremely charming wine that's perfectly suited for the spring and summer, followed by 719 West, Cabernet Sauvignon ($8.99), a dense and delicious Cabernet Sauvignon with aromas of black cherry and peppercorn and flavors of black currant and fruit compote in its generous finish, and we'll round out the lineup with Christian Etienne, Brut Champagne ($42.99), a blend of mostly Pinot Noir with some Chardonnay, this classic styled Champagne hits all the buttons at a very reasonable price for wines from the region.
