Music Notes - The text to "For All the Saints" was written by William W. How, a bishop of the Anglican Church, and first published in Horatio Nelson's Hymns for Saints' Days in 1864. There is considerable variance between hymnals as to which of the eleven original stanzas are included.
In modern hymnals, this text is paired with SINE NOMINE, written for this text in 1906 by Ralph Vaughan Williams, the well-known English composer. He wrote harmonizations for both unison singing and four-part harmony. The title SINE NOMINE means “without a name” in Latin; it may refer to the many saints whose names are known only to God.

This week, the Preschoolers continued to build our classroom community. We learned about all the classroom jobs and
continued to get to know each other. In math, the preschools learned about Attributes. We focused on colors. We played a variety of color matching games and went on a color scavenger hunt. In science, the preschoolers participated in a color
mixing experiment and watched as the primary colors blended together to make secondary colors. In Religious Studies, the preschoolers learned about how God made the world. We
developed fine motor skills by working on puzzles and learned how to properly hold a writing utensil.
Gross motor muscles were enhanced as we played floor
hockey, basketball and while playing outdoors.
