Reverse Advent Calendar SUCCESS!

We had such a wonderful outpouring of generosity in regards to our Reverse Advent Calendar in December. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a SUCCESS!  Thanks to you we will be able to help meet the basic needs of many within our community!

VIRTUAL IMPACT TRAINING CLASSES FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN FOSTERING
In order to become certified, prospective Foster or Adoptive parents are required to complete pre-service training, assessments and verifications. The certification process must be completed and the home approved for placement before DFCS can consider the home available for Foster or Adoptive placements. The overall purpose of this training is to prepare foster and adoptive families for the joys and challenges of those who are in the care of the Division of Family and Children Services. IMPACT is an acronym which stands for Initial Interest, Mutual Selection, Pre-Service Training, Assessment, Continuing Development and Trauma Informed Teamwork.  IMPACT classes will meet two days a week for three weeks or once a week for six weeks; participants must complete all classes in order to receive a certificate of completion.

Prescription drug take-back boxes provide a place where unused or expired prescription drugs can be safely disposed and out of the hands of our children! Take your unused or expired medications TODAY and DISPOSE of them properly at the take-back box located in the
lobby of the Dawson County Sheriff's Office!
