Coming Up...

ALL BELONGS TO GOD . Too often we think that what we earn is all ours to keep, forgetting that everything belongs to God and that we're only temporary stewards.

Psalm 24:1 reads, "The earth is the Lord's and everything in it." Haggai 2:8 records the Lord as declaring, "The silver is mine and the gold is mine."

This principle is further emphasized in Leviticus, one of the most important as well as most difficult books in all the Bible. It presents God's plan for His chosen people, part of which is this: "A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord... (the Lord owns) every tenth animal that passes under the shepherd's rod...." (Leviticus 27: 30-32).

Translated today, this means whatever you earn - from salary or wages or interest or dividends or whatever - part of it belongs to God.

Church Administrator Ingrid Lunckenbill will be available each Sunday during our Stewardship Emphasis to assist your with online giving or to answer questions regarding pledging a gift to Broadway.  Please call her at 445.5312 or contact her by email.
Habitat Sale Update
After weeks of planning and several 14-hour days to prepare - our 2019 Habitat Sale was SO worth it!!  At last count, the Sale has raised $26,984.17 for our local Show Me Central Habitat chapter - enough to purchase a building lot!  Thank you to all who helped, donated and supported the Sale through prayer.  And just in case you are already working on your 2020 calendar - next year's Sale date is April 4!
Puerto Rico Mission Trip Is October 20
Mission and Outreach Ministry's 2019 Adult Mission team will travel to Puerto Rico the week of October 20.  The team will focus their efforts on hurricane recovery - which will mean a lot of wall repair, flooring, painting and roofing.
Our team will stay in a local Disciples youth camp, so there will be bunk beds, showers and meals at the camp.  Check upcoming e-news articles for more details - or contact   Debby for more information.
