TABLE TO THE CROSS SERVICE
TOMORROW | THURSDAY | APRIL 18 | 7:00 PM

Tomorrow, on the evening of Maundy Thursday, we will follow Jesus through the last twenty-four hours of His life . . . from the Last Supper table all the way to the cross. This reflective service is a meaningful time to focus on the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on our behalf and is a wonderful way to prepare your heart for the joy of Easter morning.

At this service you will experience:
  • An engaging recap of our "Journey with Jesus" so far
  • The celebration of Communion with other believers
  • Great music, including hymns, and ensemble, instrumentalists, and
    a moving solo
  • Dramatic reading from Mark 14 and 15
We hope you will join us at 7:00 pm in the Worship Center. Children's ministry will be provided for preschool children.

EASTER EGG HUNT
THIS SUNDAY, APRIL 21 | BOTH WORSHIP SERVICES

What could be more fun than a GLOW-IN-THE-DARK EGG HUNT? Kids, please plan to join us for an Easter Egg Hunt THIS Sunday during both the 9:30 and 11:00 am worship services! Elementary ages will hunt for cool glow-in-the-dark eggs up in the Student Auditorium, while preschoolers will get to participate in their own blacklight egg hunt. There will also be fun snacks and age-appropriate teaching about why we celebrate Easter.

No registration is required--just check in at the Children's Ministry area in the west wing of the church. If you have any questions about the egg hunts or would like to volunteer, please contact Karen Simmang at  ksimmang@vrbc.net.
FLOWERS & PHOTOS
THIS SUNDAY, APRIL 21 | PRAYER GARDEN CROSS

Bring your cameras and freshly cut flowers with you to church THIS Sunday and help us create a spectacular Easter photo opportunity in the Prayer Garden!

To do this, the large cross located in the Prayer Garden on the north side of the church will be made ready for you to attach fresh flowers, such as daffodils, tulips, lilies, roses, carnations, and more, on your way in to worship. As the cross fills with flowers, it will become a beautiful symbol of the new life we have in Jesus and a gorgeous floral backdrop for Easter photos.

Don't forget your camera or phone so you can snap some Easter selfies!
CELEBRATING NEW LIFE
WATCH THIS WEEK'S STORY!

As we prepare for our celebration of Easter next week, we are sharing the stories of people who have come to VRBC recently and are finding new life through Christ here. This week, Alexandra shares her story of how an everyday encounter, an invitation, and a new friend brought her and her children to a "beautiful family" here at VRBC! Check it out!
CELEBRATE GOD'S WORK AROUND THE WORLD
AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF APRIL

Have you ever noticed how a good picture can really pull you into a story? Your giving is supporting God's work around the world, and we want to celebrate those incredible stories! During the month of April, we will be hosting a Global Missions Photo Gallery here at VRBC. We invite you to take some time to browse through the gallery, where you will see a visual representation of how lives are being transformed around the world through our partnership with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Try out the activities provided to help you engage with the exhibit, and spend some time praying for the missionaries and churches who are serving in that area. And as you pray, ask how God might be calling you to serve as a missionary as you go about your daily life or as God leads you to new places and people.
VRBC CHURCH FAMILY GATHERING
WEDNESDAY | MAY 1 | 7:00 TO 8:30 PM

Everyone is invited to this all-church family gathering! We will enjoy dinner and fellowship, while we share stories of what God has been up to in the life of our church over the last few months. We will also report on some of the recent feedback that our Church Council and Staff have received from church members, and talk about some new ministry ideas that we hope will help move us forward in our shared mission in the days ahead. Everyone will have the opportunity to weigh in on these ideas and contribute to the discussion, as well as participate in open Q&A.

We look forward to sharing a fun evening together!  Dinner and childcare will be provided. If you have any questions, please contact Jordan Schumacher, Executive Pastor, at  jordans@vrbc.net.
