It's the time of the season to come together and celebrate the 2019 offshore racing events and acknowledge all participants. Please join us at this year's awards banquet to share some stories, some laughs and to raise a glass to the entire fleet of participants in the LO300 and Susan Hood.
Reservations are required so act now and book a table for your crew and your family - all are welcome!
- Date: Saturday, November 16th
- Location: PCYC
- Time: Cocktails at 5:00 pm followed by dinner and awards
- Menu:
- Fresh rolls, breads, butter
- Autumn salad bar
- Hand carved top sirloin of beef, red wine au jus, horseradish
- Grilled breast of chicken, natural jus, dried fruits and herbs
- Roasted vegetables
- Scalloped potatoes
- Chef's sweet table
- Red/White Wine at each table
- Coffee/Tea Station
- Price: $47.50 (inclusive of HST and service charges)
- Tickets on sale as of October 15th, 2019

Great news!! For all those long-long distance racers, the LO600 returns in 2020. The Lake Ontario 600 Challenge occurs every other year and 2020 will mark the FOURTH
opportunity for you to circumnavigate the lake twice - giving your fly swatter a really good work out!
Susan Hood Trophy Race (SHTR)
Fri. May 29th into Sat. May 30th
* A 75 NM overnight race on western Lake Ontario from Port Credit Yacht Club (PCYC) and finishing at PCYC.
* This race is open to single handed, double handed and fully crewed keelboat and multihull sailboats.
* A component of Ontario Sailing's Offshore Championship for PHRF
Lake Ontario 300/600 Challenge Race (LO300/LO600)
Fri., July 10th with start on Sat. July 11th and onwards
* A 300 KM, 300 NM and 600 NM race around Lake Ontario from Port Credit Yacht Club (PCYC) and finishing at PCYC.
* This race is open to single handed, double handed and fully crewed keelboat and multihull sailboats.
* A component of Ontario Sailing's Offshore Championship for PHRF
Lake Ontario Short Handed Racing Series (LOSHRS)
LOSHRS is a series of races for single and double handed keelboat and multihull sailboats on western Lake Ontario.
R 1 Sun. May 31st * A course race between PCYC and Toronto Islands via Clarkson.
R 2 Sat. June 13th * A race from Port Credit Yacht Club to either YYC or DYC depending on Lake Ontario water levels in 2020.
R 3 Sun. June 14th * A race back to PCYC from either YYC or DYC.
R 4 Sat. Aug. 15th into Sun. Aug. 16th
* A 100 statute mile race starting at Port Credit Yacht Club (PCYC) and ending at PCYC.
* This is a qualifier for Great Lakes Singlehanded Society (GLSS)'s series of solo races on the Great Lakes.
R 5 Sat. Sep. 19th * A race from Port Credit Yacht Club to either YYC or DYC depending on Lake Ontario water levels in 2020.
R 6 Sun. Sep. 20th * A race back to PCYC from either YYC or DYC.
Registration will open During the Toronto International Boat Show in January.

The Offshore Racing Guide - Returning Again in 2020
|
This annual publication continues to be popular with racers and cruisers alike. The 2020 edition is now in development and will once again provide boaters with a variety of articles and resources on numerous nautical topics. The Guide is also an excellent advertising vehicle for retailers and service providers in the industry.
Planning to be available in April 2020, this boater's resource will be distributed to major Canadian and U.S. yacht clubs, marinas, chandleries and regattas.

Offshore Personal Survival Course - Hamilton, January 11-12, 2020

Learn all about emergency situations ... how search and rescue works, the effectiveness of safety equipment, how to predict heavy weather and how to manage in heavy weather.
This World Sailing two-day course is being held in Hamilton, Ontario and is internationally recognized and Sail Canada approved. All of this laced with real life stories of the sea. Heading for an afternoon of fun or horizons beyond? Make sure you have this course under your belt!
