Governor DeSantis has started signing some bills into law while still focusing the majority of his efforts on COVID-19 relief. One bill we are particularly excited that was signed into law this week is
SB 348 Florida Kidcare Program
. This law removed the lifetime maximum coverage cap on covered expenses for children enrolled in the Kidcare Program, which is a huge win for families in the state of Florida.
As we begin to see more bills signed into law by Governor DeSantis, we will continue to provide brief updates, but we will also provide a summary once the Governor has finished signing bills into law from the 2020 Florida Legislative Session.
The General Appropriations Act (GAA) is rumored to have some changes made before it is approved, and once we know the finalized budget we will also provide an update on the GAA.
