Good Friday: April 19th.
Ecumenical Service with St John's Lutheran Church at Ely Presbyterian Church near Ely.
Refreshments at 6:30, worship at 7:00 p.m.
We commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Easter Sunday: April 21st.
7, 8, 9:15 and 10:45 Services.
Communion served.
We celebrate the risen Lord!

Easter Sunday Volunteers
 Holy Week ends with 4 services on Easter Sunday, April 21st :
7:00 Sunrise Service
8:00 and 9:15 Traditional Services 10:45 Contemporary Service
We are usually blessed with many friends and family who will be our guests that day. We pride ourselves on radical hospitality, so to accommodate extra family and friends please consider helping as a worship servant that day.
Greeters: To direct worshipers into the Sanctuary for traditional services and the Family Life Center for the contemporary service.
Ushers: Extra ushers to hand out folders, seat people and take offerings.
Communion Stewards: Communion will be served at all services. Please consider helping to offer the bread and juice.
If you are interested in helping in any of these areas, please contact the church office, Carol Crisman, or Ann Uthoff Hospitality (baked goods or snacks). Extra goodies will be needed on Easter Sunday! Please contact Sheila Stepanek if you are able to help.

United Worship Service
 Next Sunday, April 28th, is gong to be special! There is going to be all kinds of traffic with the marathon going by the church, so we will have a later service and potluck. Come to worship at 11:30 and stay and share some breakfast style food at 12:30. It's a potluck so bring something and an appetite and invite a friend! Seriously, invite a friend!

Volunteers Needed for
Shueyville High School Alumni Dinner
 The Shueyville UMW invites a few good volunteers to help prepare and serve a meal to be served at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 26. We will serve the meal in our Family Life Center to Alumni and past

Thank You!
 A huge thank you to Myrt for donating the funds to purchase the Shueyville UMC bags for the Easter Carnival. Myrt's generous donation was made in honor of her husband Clayt. Also, thank you to all of the people who donated candy and eggs and the volunteers who helped hide eggs and run the stations for the kiddos. It was a huge help and really showed how well SUMC does loving our kids and the kids of our community.

College Care Packages

always appreciated and may be placed in the offering or dropped off at the office.

Lawn Mowing Volunteers Needed
 Trustees are looking for volunteers to mow grass this spring and summer. If you are looking for a way to support our church and see immediately what you have accomplished, this is a way you can do that. Sign up to mow the church lawn for a week, a couple of weeks, or whatever time you can provide to this need. Sign-up sheets will be in the church lobby. Trustees can show you what to mow and how to run the mower. There are two mowers available so bring a friend or spouse and complete the job in half the time! If you are not able to mow, sign up to donate $100 toward hiring a lawn service to mow for you. Contact a trustee if you have questions.

SUMC's Garage Sale
 Saturday, May 4th
Our church garage sale will be Saturday, May 4th from 7:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Items may be brought to the church Thursday, May 2, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. and Friday, May 3, 7:00 a.m. -noon. Gently used items, please! Each person will be given a shopping bag. A full bag will be $3.00 the day of the sale and $6.00 before the sale opens. We will need helpers to set-up, sell and clean up. Be gathering your items and
consider helping before, during or after the sale. All proceeds go to missions. Contact Diane or Leo Mork, Jim or Sandy Hynek or Carol Crisman for more information.

Coordinating Our Building Use
Are you needing a place at the church for a committee meeting or event? Please note that ALL scheduling of the building's use must be cleared and scheduled through Julie in the church office. This is not a "permission" issue, but we do need this central location for keeping track of the building's activities (we are thankful to be able to host a growing number of Boy and Girl Scouts this year!). Just
