Enrollment  projected to grow by 800 in next 10 years
Demographic study is part of facility planning process
Enrollment in the Ray-Pec School District is projected to reach nearly 6,800 students (grades K-12) by 2023-24 and nearly 7,100 students by the 2029-2030 school year.

Those projections were shared by Rob Schwartz with RSP Associates, an educational planning firm, during a presentation on Nov. 14 to the Board of Education. The report provided detailed enrollment, demographic, and development information.

The enrollment analysis report is part of a process under way to develop a 10-year facility master plan, based on current and anticipated future needs. A group of Ray-Pec Board members, educators and city planners have been meeting with architects and the demographers to determine options to handle the expected growth.
The previous master planning process, in 2015, resulted in a reconfiguration of the district allowing for a dedicated Early Learning Center, seven K-5 elementary schools, two 6-8 middle schools, and a comprehensive high school in one building.

As the District moves forward with the current facility planning process, several issues must again be considered, including timelines for possible construction of new facilities, additions to current facilities, and facilities for specific programs. Public feedback opportunities on options under consideration will be presented next semester as part of the planning process. RSP Enrollment Analysis Report

Share your feedback on the school calendar
District seeks your feedback as it plans calendar for 2020-2021
The Ray-Pec School District Calendar Committee is constructing a draft calendar for the 2020-2021 school year.

Recently, state law was changed and does not allow Missouri school districts to begin school more than 14 days before the first Monday in September. This will impact the District's calendar.

Please complete a brief survey to share your input on various calendar topics. This will help the committee propose a calendar that supports the needs of students, staff, and parents. The survey link will be active until Dec. 1.  Survey link
