ASDA denounces the aggressive, unlawful insurrection against America's democratic process that took place on January 6, 2021 at the U.S. Capitol. Individuals disrupted the constitutionally authorized duty of Congress to certify the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, endangering lives and resulting in an attack on our democracy. The orderly transfer of power following a U.S. election must be protected.
ASDA works on advocacy efforts with our colleagues on Capitol Hill. While we process the attack on our democracy, we urge the country to come together to move forward. We will continue to support and enact the basic practices and values upon which our democracy and freedom depend.
