Be Transformed by Christ. See Transformation for Christ.
Our mission is to know, show, and share the love of Jesus Christ with our community and world.
COVID-19 UPDATE
At the direction of the Deacon Administrative Council, our church
has adopted the following plan for Re-Opening Tabernacle.

PHASE 3 PLAN (Current Phase) – Moderate Physical Distancing
  • In-person shortened family worship service continues
  • At-risk individuals are encouraged to stay home
  • Service is live streamed on the church website and Facebook page
  • Limited ETC resumes in steps beginning with youngest children with workers following defined procedures
  • Physical distancing protocols practiced in worship
  • Care groups continue (No on-campus Sunday School)
  • Weekly online content and activities continue for all ages
  • Life Center re-opens with physical distancing
  • Small indoor and outdoor events may be approved on a case by case basis with physical distancing
  • Enhanced cleaning procedures continue - weekly cleaning with Enviro-master in addition to our housekeeping staff; automated hand sanitizing stations added to hallways
  • Staff works in office with physical distancing protocols

We have a detailed plan for future phases, but we will continue to be
flexible and evaluate all decisions based on recommendations
from public health officials as any developments occur.
If you would like to use church facilities for your group meeting, please contact contact Linda Bohannon in the office (770.832.7063 or linda.bohannon@tabernacle.org) to request calendar approval of your event.

UPCOMING DATES & UPDATES
Lord's Supper
We will observe The Lord's Supper during the worship service on Sunday morning, August 9. The elements will be in a single-use, prepackaged container and will be distributed to each family as they enter the worship center. We will not pass the plates, but we look forward to celebrating Christ's sacrifice for us as we temporarily change the way we observe this important ordinance. If you are watching from home, you can either use your own bread and juice or you can come by the help desk at the church to pick up the elements.
Prayer Line Now Open
Tabernacle has a new dedicated prayer line! Someone is available to pray live during our worship service for any who call 770.832.1532. Also, the voicemail will be checked regularly throughout the week to follow up with those who want a prayer team member to contact them. Please help us spread the word about this new and important way we can reach out to those outside our church building during this time when many cannot come in-person.
Quarterly Church Conference
On Sunday, August 16 immediately following the morning worship service, we
will meet for a quarterly church conference.

Financial and membership reports will be voted on during this church conference and will be visible on the screens. If you would like to receive these reports before Sunday, please email

If you are watching the worship service at home, the church conference will be part of the live stream. There will also be a Zoom link provided for those who wish to ask questions and/or vote in real time.
Facility Name Updates
As we enjoy our newly remodeled facility, there are a few places with new names that have been changed to more clearly communicate to those who are new to our church. Please take some time to learn about these new names so you can help point people in the right direction!

  • The "Office" entrance is back open in the circle drive. If you are coming to the church during the week, please use this door if possible.
  • "Parlor" is now "Heritage Room"
  • "TLC" is now "Life Center"
  • "Welcome Center" is the name for our new large greeting space outside the Worship Center
  • "Kid's Corner" is the name for a new area where kids can play while parents enjoy some conversation in our Welcome Center
  • "Help Desk" is the primary place for information both on Sundays and throughout the week as you visit the office
  • The "Welcome" entrance is the name for the former blue awning entrance. This door is where most people will likely enter the facility from the large parking lot and will be called the "main entrance" on some of the signage.
  • The "Children" entrance by the playground is the place where all families with children age 0-3 should enter for ETC check-in. Eventually, this will be where all families with children age 0-5th grade will check in for Sunday School. This was formerly called the "Preschool" entrance.

Currently, there is no exterior signage around the building. This will be added and completed by August 14.
