Public Meeting at Columbia River Park
Columbia River Park, already a very special place for residents and visitors alike, has the potential to be a riverfront showcase of cutting-edge public access, recreation, and interpretive features.

On Tuesday, December 11, the Columbia River Park Advisory Committee will be holding a public meeting for everyone interested in the future of Columbia River Park. Please come out and join in the discussion...view the preliminary site development plan... and share your thoughts. Doors open at 6 PM, presentation begins at 6:30 PM.

PA Heritage Area Grant Awarded
In mid-November, Governor Tom Wolf announced a $50 million investment of grants for 280 heritage and outdoor recreation projects across Pennsylvania. Funded through the PA Department of Conservation & Natural Resources, the grants include over $2.1 million for Pennsylvania Heritage Areas. As the designated PA Heritage Area for Lancaster and York Counties, Susquehanna Heritage was awarded $210,000 to coordinate heritage area initiatives, promote heritage and outdoor tourism along the Susquehanna, design and install exhibits for the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail, launch educational boat tours on the river, and coordinate youth programs at the Zimmerman Center and Columbia Crossing. We appreciate this important investment in our mission to connect people to the river and look forward to working with our partners to advance more great initiatives along the Susquehanna!
