Congratulations Graduates!
Congratulations to our Take Stock in Children (TSIC) - Class of 2019. The Take Stock scholars were honored at a Graduation Celebration proudly presented by Addition Financial . Students, mentors and guests enjoyed dinner to celebrate their hard work and achievements. Students were congratulated by SCPS Superintendent Walt Griffin and received advice from Alumni Steven Kuzma, TSIC Class of 2012. He encouraged students to make the most of opportunities offered in college to accomplish their goals and succeed in life. The evening ended with the graduate recognition, as mentors presented students their Take Stock Graduation medallions with great pride.

Congrats on a job well done students and special thanks to the dedicated Take Stock mentors who supported our scholars on their journey!

Take Stock - Outstanding Senior
Heading to her dream school Georgia Tech, Devianni Connor plans to work for NASA one day as a computer scientist. This first-generation college student from a single-mother household worked hard to achieve her goals, graduating from Lake Howell High School with an incredible 4.6 GPA. A well-rounded student, she participated in a children’s cancer foundation Club Base Camp, serving as president her senior year; Cyber-Patriots, where she was secretary her junior year; Science National Honor Society; and National Honor Society. In addition to her TSIC scholarship, Devianni received the Stokes Educational Scholarship Program ($30,000 annually, plus a year-round salary); Support Our Scholars Scholarship ($10,000); and the Georgia Tech Alumni Scholarship ($2,500).
“TSIC held very informative workshops that discussed the financial and academic details of college. My mentor, Celeste Baez, emotionally, physically, and mentally supported me when times were rough, and pushed and inspired me to do my best. I could not imagine high school without my mentor, and I hope that I can pay it forward and make such a wonderful impact on another student like she did to me.”
