The National School Program (NSP) is such a big part of the impact we make in the community. NSP uses SHAPE certified curriculum to enable PE teachers to integrate golf skills into a unit of golf in their classes. Through the program we make the positive values of golf a part of the classroom and students' everyday lives.
This year we received a generous grant from the Charles H. Dater Foundation that was designated for teaching children social-emotional skills and healthy living through our outreach programs. As a result of the grant we added 18 new schools to our NSP lineup and are now partnering with 37 schools to deliver our mission to over 9,000 kids in local elementary schools!
This includes significant expansion through the entire Kenton County school district! Above are some photos from training our new PE teachers in 2019 by a trainer from First Tee's Home Office.
