10:30am Sunday Service | For the Beauty of the Earth
On the last day of Earth Week, let's explore the beauty of this earth and the resource it is to human beings and to all life. Through a story about the water cycle and the many beings water comes into contact with, let's embrace and challenge our own relationship to the earth.

9:15am Drop-in Discussion | Toxic Stress and Children
The separation of children and parents at our southern border is a particularly heinous situation as they have little to no resilience to the stress of separation. Toxic stress is a constant in the lives of many children. What is toxic stress? What can be done to mitigate damage? What is resiliency and how can we as individuals foster the growth of resilient children and adolescents? Presenter: Micky Toker

This year’s Passover Seder will be a true reflection of the spirit of the holiday, “Welcome the stranger because you were a stranger in Egypt”. The potluck style dinner will be held in the Clara Barton Lounge at 6:30pm on the last evening of the holiday (rather than the traditional first). All are welcome to an evening of songs and readings (including school-age children and teens). We ask for sign-ups in advance to help with prep of the traditional table settings, decorations, special foods, and beverages. To help with the event, please contact Lew Ward-Baker at 244-6968 or patnlew@rochester.rr.com

Sunday, April 28 | Greeter & Usher Orientation
Did you ever wonder how ushers and greeters magically appear week after week to welcome visitors and help the service run smoothly, and how they know what to do and when to do it? If you’ve been looking for an easy but significant volunteering opportunity, please attend a brief Greeter & Usher Orientation Meeting on April 28 at noon in the Sanctuary.

On April 28 we will be reviewing the book ' An American Marriage ' by Tayari Jones. Previously we had stated that the book ' Educated ' by Tara Westover would be our April selection. At this time that plan would not be the best one so we will save that for a future date. Sorry for the confusion!

Call for Gardeners!
First Universalist has received a generous donation of large outdoor planters. We need to have a design party to decide how to incorporate flowers and additional vegetable spaces into our existing garden in the southwest alcove of the church. Please help! An ongoing commitment is not required. We will also need waterers, weeders, harvesters. Please contact Sarah Singal if you can assist with any of these actions at garden@uuroc.org.
