HELLO FRIENDS AND PARTNERS!
Spring has sprung here at the Wyoming County EDA!
BrandJRNY Highlights Pineville, WV

So what is BrandJRNY? BrandJRNY is a team of strategic communicators housed in the WVU Reed College of Media's Media Innovation Center. They create research-based, integrated branding campaigns for unique, but sometimes forgotten or distressed, communities in West Virginia. They send  teams into communities to meet the residents and build relationships in order to create customized branding plans that are catered to each place and to tell the towns' stories through multiple platforms.

Pineville, WV was chosen to be highlighted in the BrandJRNY project.  What an awesome adventure this has been!

Coalfields Expressway Flex E-Grant Completed

While we collectively believe the Coalfields Expressway's completion will benefit and serve our rural area to its fullest potential, what could it actually look like to see a rural community develop due to the  impact this development in transportation will have?

The EDA sponsored a Flex E-Grant with Peter Butler and WVU Graduate Students to specifically consider how one small town, Mullens, could capitalize on the Expressway in the future by comparing it to information gathered from other similar small towns who have expanded as a byproduct of transportation development.

We are excited to welcome Vecellio & Grogan, Inc. as our first tenants on Building Pad #4 of our new Barkers Creek Industrial Park, located at 1443 Herndon Road  in Bud, WV.

Follow this link for an overview of the layout of Barker's Creek Industrial Park.  The site is equipped to accommodate a 50,0000 square foot building!

Business of the Month Program

The Wyoming County EDA "Business of the Month" program is another opportunity to show our appreciation to Wyoming County businesses for investing in our community.  We encourage everyone to buy local as often as possible.  Buying local saves jobs and businesses in Wyoming County.

Each month, the Wyoming County EDA will select a business who has been nominated and is located in Wyoming County to be chosen as the "Business of the Month".  The business is spotlighted for one month .  The "Business of the Month" receives marketing opportunities with an announcement on our website at  www.wyomingcounty.com and our Facebook page.  You can find the nomination form in this link.

To nominate a Business of the Month, please email entries to [email protected] or fax them to 304-732-6963.

2019 Loan Program Status

It is the Wyoming County EDA's mission to partner, not compete, with lending institutions and other funding sources to maximize the loans that can be leveraged by small businesses in our communities.

However, we also understand that sometimes there are funding gaps not addressed by these institutions. In order to provide the capital that small businesses need to start and grow in Southern West Virginia, the WCEDA oversees five loan funds geared towards filling these needs.

We take pride in these achievements, and look forward to watching new companies grow and serve our communities!
