Please note: The library will be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.
Curbside Service is now Open!
We've been busy putting new procedures in place, training, and making sure we have all of the equipment we need to keep both patrons and staff safe, and and are now ready to offering Curbside Pickup Service!

How Bloomingdale Public Library Curbside Service Will Work:
This is a pickup service only - all materials must be put on hold prior to pickup. Patrons can place holds by calling 630-924-2730 or by logging in to our website at www.mybpl.org. Once your hold is received, processed, and ready for pickup, you will be notified. You can then come during curbside hours to pick up your holds.

Hours are:
Monday/Wednesday/Friday - 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Tuesday/Thursday - 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday - 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

When you arrive for pickup, please:
  • put your car in park
  • call Circulation at 630-924-2750 to let them know which of the 3 Curbside spots you are in
  • open the trunk
  • stay in your car

Staff will bring your hold items out, place them in your trunk, close your trunk, and you can be on your way!

At this time, Curbside Service is being prioritized for Bloomingdale cardholders to maximize efficiency and safety. Please contact your home library for information regarding services they are offering or plan to offer in the future.

Book Drop Now Open
All materials can be returned via the outside book drop. If the book drop is full, PLEASE do not leave materials outside the book drop or the building - the book drop will be emptied throughout the day, so please try again at a later time.

PLEASE remember that, at this time, we are NOT accepting material donations of any kind. Do not leave boxes of books, papers, DVDs/CDs, etc, outside our doors. We are not able to bring these materials indoors, and left outside they are a hazard and will be damaged by weather. Please hold materials until an announcement is made after we reopen that we are once again accepting donations. We thank you for your patience.
