ST. GERMAIN COMMUNITY CENTER AND PARK FACILITIES
AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC USE AGAIN

The Town's facilities have been readied for public use. A service has been hired to perform a thorough weekly cleaning of the Community Center with daily spot cleaning to be accomplished by the Public Works Department. The pavilion, park bathrooms and park grounds have also been cleaned and are ready for public use.

Users of these facilities should understand that not everything can be re-sanitized after each use throughout every day. Common sense precautions to avoid contact with potential pathogens should always be exercised by anyone using public facilities.

The Community Center security program has been re-activated. All digital access systems in effect prior to the temporary shut-down should now be functional.

Reservations for town facilities require initiation of a Facility Usage Agreement per section 17.04 of Chapter 17 - Community Parks & Buildings Usage ordinance adopted December 2019. More information about this procedure is available on the Public Use of Town Facilities page of the town website.

The Town Board will announce changes in the use of town facilities if necessary as we continue navigating through the COVID 19 situation.
HIKE & BIKE TRAIL
BRIDGE IMPROVEMENT

Users of this bridge near the eastern end of St. Germain's portion of the "Heart of Vilas County Bike Trail" system will no longer contend with water on the bridge.

Higher rainfall over the past few years has raised the groundwater level to the point that the bridge has remained under water much of the time. With financial support from the Town's annual contribution of room tax revenues to the Non-motorized Trails Committee and with a commitment from that committee for material costs for this project, the bridge deck was raised and the approaches from both sides were filled and re-paved.

Special thanks to Town Board Supervisor Jim Swenson and Non-motorized Trails Committee member Jimmy Vogel for donating their time and talents to the project.

Visit the Non-motorized Trails Committee page of the town website to learn more about that committee.
