How to Celebrate Father's Day in Quarantine
While you may have to restructure your plans, you can still create a special day.
Written by: Annie Goldsmith/ Town & Country
While Father's Day normally consists of fun outings, like a brunch or beach day, this year we are all having to readjust. Between social distancing and worldwide quarantines due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Father's Day will undoubtedly look different this year. However, aside from  gifts  and  sweet messages , there are still ways to make Sunday, June 21st special not only for dad, but for the whole family. To quell some of your planning woes, we put together an ideal quarantine Father's Day, complete with homebound brunch, movie suggestions, and outdoor activities (both virtual and in-person). So, even though you're at home this Father's Day, it doesn't mean the holiday needs to be boring.

1.  Dress It Down

A great way to get outside while still social distancing is to take a bike ride. Even if it's just around your neighborhood, riding bikes will give everyone some (let's be honest, much-needed) exercise and usher in the beginning of summer.

2. Cook (or Order) a Delicious Brunch

Whether you want to whip up some eggs or waffles, or support a local restaurant by ordering in, there's no better way to bring the family together than over food.

3. Go for a Bike Ride
A great way to get outside while still social distancing is to take a bike ride. Even if it's just around your neighborhood, riding bikes will give everyone some (let's be honest, much-needed) exercise and usher in the beginning of summer.

4. Play an Indoor Game

There's nothing wrong with some friendly competition. Get the whole family involved and break out some games. Whether you're in the mood for a puzzle, a board game, or even charades, this quarantine-friendly activity will surely be fun for the whole family.

5. Take a Virtual Tour

Visit the National Parks, tour Versailles, and swim through a coral reef, all without leaving your living room. In light of the coronavirus pandemic, many organizations are offering elaborate virtual experiences. So curl up on the couch and travel anywhere your dad's heart desires.

6. Learn Something New

Try picking up a new skill this Father's Day. With  MasterClass's selection of expert lessons , the whole family can learn tennis from Serena Williams, French pastry-making from Dominique Ansel, or comedy from Steve Martin. If you're not in the mood to purchase a subscription, turn to YouTube for a tutorial on, well, pretty much anything. If you teach a man to fish...

7. Reminisce on Iconic Sports Moments

While live sports are stalled for the time being, there's no shortage of ways for fans to watch their favorite games. Make dad's day by helping him relive some of his all-time favorite sports moments.  NFL Game Pass  is offering complementary access through July 31 and the MLB opened up their  2018 and 2019 footage . Fans can also subscribe to the  NBA  and  NHL  online services to see even more matchups.
