Pictured very top:

Cypress Creek High School's Varsity Choir and Concert Women's Choir had the honor of working with Dr. John Sinclair of Rollins College. Dr. Sinclair was beyond impressed with the caliber of talent and the students had a great time refining their skills with such an esteemed conductor. They even had the privilege of performing with them during their top choirs rehearsal.

Bears in the Spotlight!
"Rigor in the Classroom" - FAA certifies 9 students

Cypress Creek is pleased to announce that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has certified 9 students as Commercial Drone Pilots. Pictured here are 7 of the 9, from left to right: Austin Jones, Jose Navarro, Yuktha Das, David Estrada, Trevor Stewart, Katherine Peralta, and Sebastian Goyco.

This certification is the result of 2 years of aviation science dual enrollment training sponsored by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Their training culminated with each student successfully completing a 2-hour exam proctored by a FAA instructor at a local airport. Their achievement validates that these students understand the regulations, operating requirements, and procedures for safely flying drones for commercial and recreational purposes.

Motivational Moment

CHANGE THE WORLD

The following words are inscribed on the tomb of an Anglican bishop in Wesminster Abby (above) from 1100 A.D.

When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country.

But it, too, seemed immovable.

As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it.

And now as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realize: If I had only changed myself first, then my example would have changed my family.

From their inspiration and encouragement, I would then have been able to better my country, and, who knows, I may have even changed the world.
