Membership & Governance Updates
Virtual Town Hall Meeting
May 9, 2019, 3:00 4:00 (ET)
Please mark your calendars for an EnglishUSA Virtual Town Hall Meeting! EnglishUSA Executive Director Cheryl Delk-Le Good and President Nadine Baladi will be on the conference call to share information about the upcoming vote for bylaws changes, which kicks off some significant changes in the association.

We're proposing revisions to our bylaws to allow the association to be more nimble and responsive to the changing landscape of our industry, which will include expanding membership to additional types of English language programs.

In addition, EnglishUSA is proposing to move toward a committee-based board structure, with three-year terms for officers and 'at-large' board members. And most importantly, we want to ensure compliance and consistency with our by-laws and articles of incorporation.

Our information-gathering cycle has included seeking out input from the membership (last year's survey) and working throughout the year with input from the Board, a task force, and the advisory council, as well as best practices in association management. We'll also be sharing this information at the annual business meeting at NAFSA (see below). We wanted to provide multiple outlets for Q & A.

Feel free also to contact Cheryl Delk-Le Good directly.
