ASF Sponsors Rockland Autism Symposium
for 10th Consecutive Year
The Autism Science Foundation was proud to sponsor the Rockland Autism Symposium for the 10th consecutive year.
The Rockland County Autism Symposium is an annual day-long learning event for special education teachers, regular education teachers, parents and other stakeholders. Each year, presenters are researchers, officials, and professionals that speak on the most current topics regarding autism.
This year ASF Chief Science Officer, Dr. Alycia Halladay, gave a presentation with Dr. Matthew Lerner, Associate Professor, Clinical Psychology Stony Brook University, entitled "Getting People with Autism to Work; What Teachers Need to Know." The presentation was based on the Employment Policy Brief published last year, written in part by Drs. Halladay and Lerner. You can download it
