Seeking Nominations for Golden Acorn Award
Whittier PTA is seeking nominations for the Golden Acorn Award. This award recognizes volunteers who have given outstanding service to children in the Whittier community. The recipient(s) of this award will receive loads of Wildcat appreciation, a Golden Acorn pin, special recognition at the May 9th General PTA meeting, a contribution in their name to the Washington State PTA Financial Grant Program, and their name engraved on the Golden Acorn plaque in the lobby.
Please help us recognize and reward those amazing individuals within our school and community who meet the criteria for this award. Email your nomination along with an explanation for why your nominee deserves this recognition by Sunday, April 28th, 2019 to

Registration Open for Whittier Kids Summer Camps
Our Summer Camps are located onsite at Whittier Elementary for kids entering Kindergarten through 5th grade in Fall 2019. We offer weekly camps from July 1-August 29, 9am-3pm with optional before and after care also available. Each week will be full of activities specific to each age group, field trips and plenty of exploration! 2019 camp themes include: “Movin’ and Groovin’ Into Summer”, “Imagination Improvisations”, “Mysteries, Adventures, Comics, and Beyond”, “Summer’s Last Blast” and more! Learn new skills, explore new friendships and give your child a chance to grow and learn in a safe, fun environment.

Pedalheads Learn-to-Ride Summer Bike Camps
About our learn-to-ride bike program.
Our learn-to-ride bike program is best known for helping kids ages three through 12 get off training wheels and safely ride on the road. Our program includes:
- a progression of six instructional levels for you to choose from,
- three-hour half-day camps,
- seven-hour all-day camps,
- private lessons, and
- before and after care options.
Pedalheads helps kids develop life skills, confidence, and independence through fun, safe, and engaging instruction.Kids get lots of time on their bikes learning and playing games, navigating obstacle courses, and challenging themselves with a variety of activities in a safe environment. Kids also take bathroom, snack, and water breaks to ensure they stay engaged.
