Summer is now over, yet smoke from regional wildfires blew into Western WA yet again. One recent morning, due to the smoke in the air, the sun was bright red as it rose. While the colors around the sun were beautiful, the sky was much darker than normal.
The last chapters of Revelation speak of a time in the future when there will be a new heaven and earth. Chapter 22 tells us there will be no night, neither will there be a need for a lamp or light from the sun because the Lord God will give light. In this new heaven and earth, the servants of God will worship Him - reigning forever and ever. Three times in this chapter, it mentions that Jesus is coming quickly. We don't know the time or season but we echo the last words of John as he says "Even so, come, Lord Jesus! …The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."
Are you ready to meet Him? - Are we living for Christ like He IS coming soon? Let's be serving together in such a way that Jesus Christ is glorified and each of us have opportunities to proclaim HIS name.
- October is pastor appreciation month. Pray for pastors around the world who use the materials provided by Serve and Equip. Pray that they would preach the Word so those they minister to would know God's statutes and laws like we read in Psalm 119. Pray that they would faithfully serve the Lord wherever and with whomever they have been called to serve whether it be Africa, Cuba, Finland, here in America or anywhere else in the world.
- Praise the Lord for those who faithfully serve on the S&E board. Pray that God will give us wisdom as we look forward to this next year and coming years during our upcoming November 7 board meeting. Pray for various meetings leading up to the board meeting.

This past month, the weekly email topic series covered passages from Matthew 18 and part of Matthew chapter 19. Each of these emails have presented both a text and video version of the material. Praise the Lord for the emails that were sent out including the topics: Jesus Explained the Importance of Caring for Children, Jesus Taught About the Importance of Forgiving, Jesus Illustrated How Some Have an Unforgiving Attitude, Jesus Taught About the Plan of God for Marriage and Jesus Talked to a Rich Young Ruler. The videos for this series are currently available on our YouTube channel and can be found at http://sveq.org/video . Pray for those who use these topics and then share the principles from God's Word with those they minister to. Praise the Lord for new audiences that the videos allow us to reach out to.
- We would appreciate your prayers for continued health challenges which both of our parents and as we seek to assist them effectively.
- Most of all, pray God is glorified in ALL things.
