April 6, 2020

Dear Class of 2020 and Families:

I want you all to know that you are very much on our minds. You have almost completed your journey at Lakehill Preparatory School. You have done amazing things here, both inside and outside the classroom. We are extremely proud of what you have accomplished and the resilience you have shown these past few weeks.

The Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies are two of our most treasured Lakehill traditions. These are momentous, milestone celebrations, ones that everyone in our Lakehill family, especially graduating students, their families, and their teachers, looks forward to each year. While I remain hopeful that the virus outbreak might subside enough to hold these events in May, I am also aware that we may have no choice but to postpone.

However, I want to assure you that we are committed to holding our Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies in person, as soon as it is feasible to do so. We will do whatever we can to ensure that the Class of 2020 is given the opportunity to walk across the Lakehill stage to receive your hard-earned diplomas. For family members who are unable to attend in person, we will find creative ways for you to participate virtually.

We also look forward to celebrating our seniors with Senior Day and other special events. Although these events may look a bit different this year, they will still be special. Organizers are working on ways for us all to celebrate together, even while we are apart.

Thank you, seniors, for the incredible flexibility and resolve that each of you has demonstrated over the past few weeks as we have had to adjust to our present realities. I am confident that we will get through this together and I look forward to the time when we are once again able to see each other in person. Until then, I will continue to stay in touch and to keep you informed of any new developments as they occur.

Sincerely,
Perry Signature
