VideoVideo Message from NDA President
President's Address July 30, 2020
OpeningOpening of School

Notre Dame Academy seeks to open safely and completely for all students, faculty and staff. Conditions  may limit our progress towards this goal. Because of this we have created our three scenarios for  responding to the changing situation in which we find ourselves.

NDA acquires health-related information from the Brown County Health Department, Prevea, Bellin and  Aurora health systems. This information is used by the NDA Envisioning the Future Committee to  evaluate the scenario that is safest to deliver instruction and gather the community.

The Committee has
worked since the Spring to address the changing environment of Catholic education in the Green Bay  Diocese and how that affects NDA. Members of the committee have included representatives from the  GRACE System, other Catholic high schools in the Diocese, health care professionals, faculty and  administrators and parents at NDA.

At this time the Envisioning the Future Committee is working to
develop the procedures around all three scenarios. As August progresses, NDA will commit to its opening
scenario.
ScenariosInformation on the Scenarios

1. The standard opening of school scenario will require updated procedures for building entry,  masking and distancing among many other details. If this scenario is selected, the standard  back-to-school process will be supplemented by new information.

2. The Hybrid/Blended scenario requires more information. Please follow this link for a description of the Hybrid/Blended scenario.

3. The NDA at Home distance learning scenario is under development and will be described in the  coming weeks.
Volunteers1Volunteers Needed

Since the Spring, NDA has invested in the technological development of the school systems and the  teachers' tech tools. This investment will continue during the year to address emerging issues.

One of
the features of this system will require testing the capacity of the system to Zoom with multiple users.  During Student Orientations, NDA is asking for parent volunteers to sign into Zoom classrooms while the  students for each class are signing on from the school.

Student Orientation Dates
Aug. 31-Sept. 1: Freshmen
Sept. 2: Sophomores
Sept. 3: Juniors
Sept. 4: Seniors

If you can assist us in this task please email NDAat
[email protected].

Please put the terms TECH VOLUNTEER in the subject line.
We appreciate your help!
