4-H News & Events

2021 4-H Online Enrollment

On January 1st of each year, the 4-H Online system rolls over and every member and volunteer must re-enroll for the new year.

In early January 2021, 4-H Online will be rolling out some system updates. We want to ask everyone that you DO NOT re-enroll for 2021 until we tell you it is ok to do so. We expect the system to be up and running by mid-January, but we will send out a notification when it is ok to enroll. We have had a sneak peek of some of the updates and we're excited about the changes coming!

2021 4-H Volunteer Leaders' State Conference

North Carolina 4-H Volunteer Leaders Conference is right around the corner. This event will be held February 5-6 over Zoom. Many people have worked very hard to put together an event that still has many of the traditional components of the Conference we all look forward to being part of. The cost to attend Volunteer Leaders' Conference 2021 is $30 and to be guaranteed a conference packet, your registration must be entered by January 8th.

2020 Project Record Books and Workshop

2020 Project Record Books for Guilford County will be due on Friday, February 5th at 5:00 PM.

Project Record Book Forms

In preparation, we will be holding a Virtual Project Record Book Workshop on January 21 at 6 PM. This workshop is free and will be held via Zoom. You must -pre-register for the workshop.

2021 4-H Scholarship and Honor Club Applications

Scholarship and 4-H Honor Club applications are now available on the NC 4-H website. All applications are due in the Guilford County office by Noon on Friday, January 29.

The Central Piedmont Jr Livestock Show & Sale is scheduled for April 13-14 in Hillsborough, NC.

AgYouth Leadership Program

The Farm Credit Associations of NC’s AgYouth Leadership Program will honor students who excel in the classroom and community as leaders in their FFA chapters and 4-H clubs. Any senior student in good standing with his/her FFA or 4-H program and in good standing with the high school is eligible to apply and be selected for the AgYouth Leadership award.

USDA National Scholars Program

The USDA 1890 National Scholars Program offers scholarships to U.S. citizens who are seeking a bachelor's degree at one of the nineteen 1890 Land-Grant Universities in the field of agriculture, food, natural resource sciences or other related disciplines.

High school and current college students are eligible to apply for the USDA 1890 National Scholars Program which provides full tuition, fees, books, room and board, and a summer internship which may convert to full-time employment with USDA after graduation. Application deadline is January 31.
