JANUARY 6TH, 2021
"No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world."

-John Keating
This past week I received an email from my first grader's teacher, Mrs. Marzahl [love her] with a special invitation for the littles in her classroom to select a word that they would like to focus on this year. Attached to the email was a WORD OF THE YEAR IDEAS list to help my daughter select the word she would carry with her in 2021. What a fun idea, I thought! So, for the good of the group, I have included this list for each of us to peruse, ponder and possibly select a word that we can position as a beacon, a mantra or a reminder.
Did you select a word? Did you write it down? Did you say it out loud?

If you took the time to choose a word, take the time to remember it. Write it on a post it. Print it on some of that copy paper you have left over from your 'Tis the Season' snowflakes. Get crazy and find an Etsy project or simply bedazzle every article of clothing to keep your hand picked word top of mind.

DISCLAIMER: Your one little word has the potential to do big things!

I appreciate that one email has inspired my entire household to think about a word for 2021. The result? Two household members are still seriously considering their options. My six year old has chosen EXPLORE. My nine year old has selected FINISH. And for me? I have selected FEARLESS.
I'd love to know what word you are considering or have confidently selected!
And as I wait to hear from you, I will leave you with a funny little message I saw courtesy of Facebook...
Be mindful. Find joy. Believe in kindness.
And of course, keep sanitizing!
