Reminder: If your business is in need of face masks for when downtown begins to re-open, please submit the information below by noon today, Friday, April 24.

Good afternoon, Downtown Marquette,

I'd like to take a moment to thank you for responding to our recent survey regarding the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on downtown businesses. While it's clear that many are struggling at this difficult time, please know that we are listening and are here to help overcome these challenges as much as possible.

One request that came out of the surveys is the need for face masks for you and your staff once we are able to start re-opening downtown. I have reached out to Masks for Marquette (M4M) , the dedicated group of talented individuals who have been sewing and distributing cloth masks to healthcare and other front-line workers and at-risk individuals. At this time, their priority remains supplying healthcare workers until that need is fully met; however, they have generously offered to help supply masks to Downtown Marquette businesses when the time comes to re-open. Thank you, Masks for Marquette , and everyone involved with this amazing group!

Please respond to this email by 12:00 (noon) on Friday, April 24 , with the following information, so that I may compile a list of who needs masks and provide M4M a final count needed:

Business Name
Business Address
Contact Name
Contact Information
Number of Masks Needed (one mask per person, please)

The Marquette Downtown Development Authority will be supporting their efforts in return, on behalf of the downtown community. I will be in touch with distribution information as it becomes available, but feel free to contact me with any questions in the meantime.
Be safe and well ,
