Roslyn Public Schools
SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS
January 5, 2021

Dear Roslyn Families,

Please be advised that an additional staff member at Harbor Hill Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19. This case is unrelated to the previous case, which was reported to you earlier today.

At this time, our internal contact tracing has been completed. Any potential close contacts have been notified and instructed to quarantine if necessary.

Since our classes are held in contained pods, and students have no interaction with the school population at large, it has been determined that this case does not warrant a school building closure. Be assured, a thorough cleaning of the building will be performed tonight by our custodial staff.

We are presently working with the Nassau County Department of Health to help them complete their external contact tracing investigation, and we will continue to take all necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of our school community.

With COVID-19 cases on the rise, please continue to follow local health guidelines to keep
yourself, your families, and our community healthy and safe.

Sincerely,

Allison Brown
Superintendent of Schools
