Since last fall, students, teachers, and teaching artists have all been busy as bees with ArtWorks workshops. These workshops have been a unique opportunity to process the extraordinary challenges and novel circumstances that this past year brought.
We think this year's Student Art and Poetry Anthology is really something special, and we couldn't wait to share a few samples of the work we're compiling, especially since April is National Poetry Month!
If you'd like a printed copy of the anthology, please email ArtWorks program director Erin De Rosa at ederosa@sfpartnersineducation.org to be added to our mailing list. Copies will be sent out in May.

They sing that song but when you come back,
They just sing it again.
But Rain you have given so much
For us to gain.
You drizzle, splash, and sprinkle.

Ode to Frustration

Frustration is not fun because you can’t think
and you can't get things done,
and everything is harder.
You can get frustrated and give up,
You can get frustrated by doing something hard.
You become angry and sad,
You want to do something bad.
To get rid of frustration,
You take deep breaths and count to 10.
My brother gets frustrated when he does his schoolwork,
and goes crazy mad.

The Teacher Warehouse is a resource for teachers to "shop" for free and take great things back to their classrooms. Local businesses and individuals donate office supplies, art supplies, books, and more.

ArtWorks is an aesthetic education program that builds critical thinking skills and frees young imaginations. ArtWorks makes the arts personally meaningful to over 1,800 public school students and teachers through an integrated program of art-making, viewing live performances and exhibits, and achieving understanding through inquiry and reflection.

Through the generosity of donors like you, classroom teachers receive grants for innovative, curriculum-based projects. Partners in Education awards over $50,000 to about 60 teachers each year.
Partners in Education also honors seven Santa Fe Public School teachers each year with the Teachers Who Inspire awards.
