A wise man once said the only advice for all occasions is “this too shall pass.” This situation will pass, but we can learn from it. More hand washing all the time and listen to scientists and doctors are two gems of knowledge to save for the future. Personally, I have learned that I really enjoy distance learning. I have been using FB Live to “meet” with my students each day unless I am testing them. I start with a role question just like in the classroom. I do problems on a dry erase board (albeit smaller). I ask them for answers, and they post them in the comment section. It is not as good as in person, but they are learning, and so am I. Thanks to all the parents who are supporting our learning from afar and to the staff who is making sure that we can deliver our content. And a big shout out to our students, who work hard and want to learn even from up to 300 miles away.
