Dear Freshman Families,
Welcome to the Trojan family! I hope this letter finds you enjoying the final days of summer. Our staff is looking forward to the upcoming school year and we are excited about the Class of 2024.
As an incoming freshman, your student will begin the school year with Freshman Orientation on Thursday, August 6. Freshman Orientation is a day for students to meet teachers, learn their daily schedule, have their photo taken for the school yearbook and meet new friends! This year’s orientation is being divided into two groups for social distancing purposes. Please see the schedule below to determine when your child will attend.
- Group One: Last name beginning with A-K - 8:00-10:00 a.m. (you may begin dropping off as early as 7:30 a.m.)
- Group Two: Last name beginning with L-Z - 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. (you may begin dropping off as early as 10:30 a.m.)
Parents are asked to enter campus from Kessler Blvd., turn south on Crittenden Ave., left on Northgate, and enter the parking lot to drop off their student at Door 10. You will pick up your student at Door 10 as well. This welcome tradition at Bishop Chatard is something you won’t want to miss!
Freshmen are required to be in school uniform for orientation. Please

Uniform Dress Code Policy. Face masks will be a part of the school day dress code until requirements change and this includes Freshman Orientation. Visit

In the past, we have hosted a Freshmen Parent Coffee following drop-off. Due to current limitations on social gatherings, we have postponed this gathering to a later date.
