Advocacy Network on Disabilities: Upcoming Trainings
- Successful Inclusion of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): Part 2. The online Introduction to Successful Inclusion of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder Part 1 (below) must be completed prior to registering for this training. An interactive, experiential opportunity to develop visual schedules, practice American Sign Language, and create and tell Social Stories. Learn how to create a sensory friendly environment, keep children safe, and use literature to foster acceptance and understanding.

This workshop introduces various types of disabilities, identifies the characteristics and benefits of an inclusive program, and provides information on using People First Language and respectful etiquette.
- Introduction to Successful Inclusion of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) - Part 1 What is Autism Spectrum Disorder? Learn how to help children meet behavioral expectations, recognize and accommodate those with sensory sensitivities, foster social competence, address bullying, and ensure a safe environment.
