Holy Trinity Sunday
June 7
10:30 a.m. Streaming Live Online
Though the word trinity is not found in the scriptures, today’s second reading includes the apostolic greeting that begins the liturgy: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. In the gospel Jesus sends his disciples forth to baptize in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. More than a doctrine, the Trinity expresses the heart of our faith: we have experienced the God of creation made known in Jesus Christ and with us always through the Holy Spirit. We celebrate the mystery of the Holy Trinity in word and sacrament, as we profess the creed, and as we are sent into the world to bear witness to our faith.

Annual Congregational Meeting, June 14 at 11:30am via Zoom
The annual meeting for Advent Evangelical Lutheran Church usually occurs in the first two weeks of June, as our fiscal year runs from July-June.

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic we are having our annual meeting via a Zoom Webinar so that a presentation of materials may still be made from the Church Council, elections may still take place via polling, and a budget may also be presented and voted on via polling. Questions, comments, and nominations will still be able to be taken from "the floor."

As this is an official meeting with real consequences, we are asking all who attend to be members of AdventELC and to register. For those who are not members of AdventELC you will still be able to view the meeting live on our YouTube page.

Please do not wait and register today!
A Quick, Midweek Pick-Me-Up
At the direction of Church Council and with an enthusiastic thumbs up from Pastor Aaron we are going to have a quick, spiritual, casual, pick-me-up, 15-20 minute Wednesday worship time entitled, HANGOUT 4 HOPE.

Each week will PAL will host while a variety of special guests offer devotions, special-sing-a-long music, and one key verse from Scripture.

We hope you'll join us weekly on Wednesday at 7:00pm.

Invite others to come!
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
As we continue to move through these uncharted waters of the pandemic, it becomes more apparent that it is not possible to do Vacation Bible School (VBS) like we have in past years because of social distancing guidelines. After praying and considering many different alternatives, VBS has not been forgotten.

We will be offering a two-pronged approach: 1) Virtual VBS and 2)Neighborhood VBS.  More information will be given very soon and registration will be opened. We wanted to let you know what is under consideration and although VBS will not look like it has in the past, hopefully both of these alternatives will provide a good substitution.
Conversational Bible Study

The Buckeye Bandit! and the Bandettes ????
With masks adorned, Advent's Contemporary Group sang on Sunday with the help of the Buckeye Bandit! It was a wonderful time of worship and praise. The Contemporary Group provides special music for us on several times a year and we are blessed to have such a talented group of individuals.
Living Lutheran Crossword
Did you know that the ELCA has a monthly magazine? It's called Living Lutheran ( https://www.livinglutheran.org). Each month features stories of living out the Christian faith with features in congregational life, voices of faith, religious news, children and family, mission and ministry, and articles on spiritual practices. Presiding Bishop Eaton also has a monthly article.

There is also a monthly crossword!
Our High School youth group members have been making phone calls to members of the congregation to check in on them, as we are all brothers and sisters in Christ.
