Our next Social Justice Small Group meeting will be on Monday, July 22nd, from 7 to 8:30 pm, in the Fireside Room. During our April meeting the group chose two areas of focus to explore further: 1) Transgender and LGBTQIA human rights; and 2) expanding services to our houseless and food insecure Food Pantry patrons. Feel free to bring a dessert to share during our meeting. All are welcome.

Pick Up the Trash in Your Community
Go outside and pick up trash. You can invite a friend or small group from church to join you. You can enjoy fellowship and increase the amount of garbage collected.
Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act
The General Synod of the United Church of Christ, in June 2019, voted in favor of a resolution to support the "Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act of 2019." This Act has been introduced into the U. S. House of Representatives as H. R. 763. Citizen's Climate Lobby has created website to provide information about the Act.
Women's shelter needs

We are in need of travel-size lotions, shampoos, conditioners, disposable shavers, etc. These and other similar items are taken to the Shelter every month and given to the women. Currently we are completely out of all these items. Please bring what you can and give to Angie.
Silicon Valley Pride Parade

Campbell UCC will be marching in the Silicon Valley Pride parade Sunday August 25th @ 10am in San Jose. It sounds like there will be several opportunities to volunteer during this event. Stay tuned for more information.
