Celebrating Pastor Timothy Kinne
In honor of the 30 years of ordination of our Pastor, The Rev. Timothy L. Kinne, the congregation of St. Matthew Lutheran Church & School invites you to share a Service of Celebration and Recognition.  Sunday, June 23 at 8:00am and 10:45am. A reception for Pastor Kinne and his family will take place in Luther Hall on the same date between services. Cards of appreciation to Pastor Kinne may be sent to the Church Office or placed in the gold box on the church counter.
JOY” PICNIC - The “JOY” (Just Older Youth) group will be having their picnic on Sunday, June 23 at 12:30pm. There will be food and BINGO… for produce.

HELPING HANDS MINISTRY of St. Matthew Lutheran Church & School is intended to provide critical emergency financial support. Please contact one of the Pastors if such support is needed. Contributions to this ministry are also welcome. 
MILITARY OUTREACH USA, Please consider helping the Board of Evangelism & Parish Services fill the needs for Veterans Exiting Homelessness. This will run thru November 11.

THE KINGS BRASS - On Thursday, June 27th at 7pm, (during our normal Thursday night service) come hear the exciting sounds of Tim Zimmerman and the King's Brass.  At 6:45pm our own Michael Gagne will give a brief organ recital to highlight some of the exciting sounds of our new organ. This promises to be a fun-filled evening filled with excellent brass and organ music. Children of all ages are encouraged to attend.

*** We are looking for members of St. Matthew to host/house the 8 members of the King's Brass Ensemble. Please contact Cheri Selimos or Pastor Kinne for details.
WILLING WORKERS

LECTORS - Would you like to read the Old Testament & Epistle Readings in a worship service? Contact the Church Office to sign up for this important worship ministry!

TECHIES - We could still use some extra hands for "tech" at our worship services.
We need people to set up the Mevo Camera and iPad to livestream the worship services.
We need people to help set up the contemporary worship screen presentations on Sunday mornings.

BIBLE STUDY OPPORTUNITIES
SUNDAY MORNING ADULT BIBLE STUDY - Sundays at 9:20 a.m. in the north end of Krueger Hall.  The Summer Bible study - 1 st & 2 nd Peter: God’s Crew - will run through August 4.

LCC “Who is Jesus According to Jesus” on Mondays , at 9:30am & 7:00pm in Luther Hall.

ST. MATTHEW MINISTRY NEWS
CHRISTIAN OUTREACH OF LUTHERANS (COOL) -  A food pantry for some of the neediest families in Lake County. Please bring a can of food/box of cereal with you when you worship and place them in Luther Hall. Thanks for helping those in need. June food item: Vegetables.
SHARING THE JOY Are you or somebody you know in need of meals? Sharing the Joy ministry of St. Matthew would like to help. Please contact the church office to set up meal deliveries.

JOURNEYS OF PAUL IN GREECE - October 5-15, 2019  
Pastor Timothy Kinne and his wife Debra, from St. Matthew Lutheran Church & School, Hawthorn Woods, invite you to join them on a magnificent tour of the Journeys of Paul in Greece, October 5-15, 2019.
2020 EUROPEAN TRIP & OBERAMMERGAU is an 11 Day Classic Classic European Tour (September 20-30, 2020) which will include Budapest, Bratislava, Prague, Nurnberg, Rothenburg, Heidleberg, a Rhine River Cruise, the Neuschwanstein Castle and culminating in Oberammergau for the 2020 production of the Passion Play.

Open Enrollment is now in progress in our Early Childhood program. Contact the school office to schedule a tour and register today. We would love for you to join us this fall.
