Top Economic Development News
With summer at its peak, July brings tourism and travel. Vacations are a time to relax with family and friends, seek adventure, and find sources of rejuvenation. Maybe you can't get away this month, or you're choosing not to. This newsletter highlights some local opportunities, both business and personal, so you can stay close to home while you unwind.

Have you ever been to Downtown Frederick and thought of an idea that would better connect the people and places of our community? Pitchcraft is back for its second year and it would be a great way to refine your idea and pitch it to the correct audience. This friendly competition is all about bringing creatives from all backgrounds together to reimagine and reinvent public spaces. Find out more about Pitchcraft below!

July is also National Ice Cream Month and what better way to celebrate than with some local homemade ice cream. You don't have to venture far to find this delicious treat as there are multiple creameries located around the county. See the list in our blog below.

So we challenge you this month to look local and discover what could be right in your backyard. You'll never know what you'll find, or what ideas are sparked from a little adventure.

Sincerely,

Helen Propheter, Director
Frederick County Office of Economic Development
