Beemac Logistics Swarms to Westchase District

Like nectar to bees, Westchase District's superior mobility and office amenities have attracted yet another corporate leader to its boundaries. Beemac Logistics recently occupied about 5,000 square feet of the Towers at Westchase II, located in the District at 10350 Richmond Avenue. The lease is the latest in a fresh swarm of expansions and relocations that sweeten the District's reputation as a beehive for corporate colonization.

Wilcrest Drive Esplanades Receive Landscape Upgrades

Westchase District recently upgraded the landscaping of the medians along Wilcrest Drive between Westpark Drive and the Westpark Tollway. Three esplanades were cleared of dead plants and revamped to match the aesthetics of other medians in the District.

Workers installed ribbons of "dry creek beds" consisting of moss boulders and river rock. Next, they accented them with Drift roses, Dianella, Foxtail Fern, Society Garlic, Asian Jasmine, Red Yucca and Dwarf Bottle Brush. Finally, they topped off  the beds and areas around trees with a layer of mulch. "These plant varieties have proved to work well in Houston's climate," said Irma Sanchez, Westchase District's vice president of projects. "They add splashes of color to the District's roadways and give the area a beautiful and distinctive flair."
