Reimagining Self-Care for Black Folks

There are thousands of thought-provoking pieces on the pandemic, the Black Lives Matter Movement, unemployment, civil unrest, police brutality, and the economy. Meanwhile, we are still here. Some of us barely holding on and feeling so much grief.  What can we do about promoting our own healing? Holding space for all this discourse and our own mental health may feel unbearable.

How to be an Ally for LGBTQ Youth

Imagine feeling confused, isolated and not accepted for who you are and who you know you are supposed to be. Now more than ever, it is critical that we support and ally for LGBTQ youth. By being an ally, you help to increase awareness and acceptance of the LGBTQ community. Equally important, you also show them that they aren't alone in their struggle for equality, inclusion, and acceptance.

Be True and Be You
A Mental Health Guide for LGBTQ+ Youth

If you are, or think you might be LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, and other identities), and going through a tough time, you're not alone. Whether you're trying to figure out your own identity or want to learn how to talk to others, it can be hard to know where to find support. The stigma and discrimination LGBTQ+ individuals may face from family, friends and society can increase risk for mental health challenges.

LBGT Mental Health and Aging Support Guide

Finding ways to grow and be healthy as you age is important. The journey of aging brings with it new stressors and opportunities, including some that are unique to the LGBT community.

Being LGBT does not automatically mean you will experience mental health challenges. However, as an LGBT elder, there are certain stressors you may face from people who do not accept your sexual orientation or gender identity.
