Florida Chamber 2019 Legislators Report Card & Legislative Summary!

How do you think we should solve the transportation and land development issues of today and tomorrow?

Forward Pinellas is partnering with the  Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority  to launch Advantage Pinellas – a strategic plan to improve mobility and economic opportunity countywide – and we need your feedback.

Advantage Pinellas is Forward Pinellas’s new Long Range Transportation Plan that links land use and economic development strategies with major transportation investments. This is a core product that our agency produces every five years; the plan will guide transportation decision making, which will directly affect how our communities grow into the future. Any transportation project in Pinellas County will need to be in the Advantage Pinellas plan to receive state and federal funding. Advantage Pinellas also includes PSTA’s Community Bus Plan, pairing transportation and transit planning to ensure we have a clear, comprehensive and integrated vision for the ways people can travel. In addition, with the Forward Pinellas mission of integrating land use and transportation planning, we can plan for how growth will occur and where to support planned redevelopment with transportation improvements.

In order to make the best possible decisions for Pinellas County and its residents, we have a survey to gauge priorities and desires for the county’s evolving transportation network and land uses. You can   take the survey  any time before the end of July, but that isn’t your last opportunity to give input. We will be taking the plan to the public at multiple stages before it is adopted in late 2019.
