Our top priority at St. Francis DeSales High School is always the health and safety of our students. As such, we continue to monitor information provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Please refer to www.sfdstallions.org/path-forward for the latest announcements and updates.
Full Time Remote Learning Requests
Deadline: August 17

For those students who will need to remain completely digital this school year, please complete the request form (see link below) by Monday, August 17. Note: formal documentation of this need will be required. Please email a copy of this online learning contract to guidance@desales.co or drop it off to the main office.
New Classroom Space
With the Sisters of St. Francis Student Service Center acting as the new home for our guidance department, what was old becomes new again. We’ve reclaimed two classrooms from the footprint of the old guidance area and will have these spaces in service for the 20-21 school year. Assisting us with this transformation is Chris Stone '71 from Stallion Carpets and, of course, our outstanding facilities team!
Stallions in the Spotlight
The girls tennis team donated items and money to Rescued Ohio, a nonprofit organization that provides aid and support in the care of abused, neglected, and unwanted animals with the goal of ultimately finding them loving forever homes. Volunteers from Rescued Ohio surprised the team after their Picture Day on Monday by bringing three six week old puppies for a visit to show their gratitude for the donation.
Opening Days of School

The opening days of school will take place with a staggered start by grade level: freshmen - August 31, sophomores - September 1, juniors - September 2, and seniors - September 3. The school day will begin at 7:47am with Family Homeroom; dismissal at 1:30pm.

Each student will come to school on their specified class day to walk through their class schedule, meet their teachers, learn about the added safety protocols, and attend a prayer service. Plus students will enjoy a free lunch and every Stallion will receive their 2020-21 school year theme t-shirt!

Students are permitted to be out-of-uniform for their Opening Day; however, they are asked to follow the SFD Spirit Day Out-of-Uniform Policy. Please click here to review the SFD Spirit Day Out-of-Uniform Policy.
Face Masks

For planning purposes, please note: The school will be purchasing at least 3 face masks for each student. Students will need to purchase additional face masks. Face masks need to be plain purple, black or white. Medical grade or disposable masks will also be acceptable. Buffs, gaiter masks, and bandanas are not permitted.

In the event a student is not able to wear a face mask due to a documented medical
condition, he or she must wear a shield that extends below the chin down to the sternum.
Bus Transportation

Bus transportation will be provided by Columbus City School District and Gahanna-Jefferson Local School District. Please visit sfdstallions.org/transportation for up-to-date information.

Families in need of a carpool to assist with transportation to or
