Nathan Roberts  canal boat as they work to solve the clues that will help their mule escape from mule rustlers on the Erie Canal! The  Nathan Roberts  canal boat has been tied up in Syracuse awaiting its turn at the weighlock. Overnight, the mule towing the boat was unhitched and led away. With the guidance of Museum educators, families and small groups are invited to solve the puzzles, unlock the BreakOut Box and free the mule. As they play the game, participants will learn more about the Erie Canal and other waterways in the Syracuse area, and might even win some cool prizes!

Join the Onondaga Historical Museum for this audience participation mystery filled with twists and turns to solve this burning question on all our minds.

The Craftsman City: Syracuse's Arts and Crafts Heritage

Explore the great traditions that developed early in the 20th century that made Syracuse the center of the national Arts & Crafts movement. This program, with OHA Curator of History Robert Searing, features the story of Gustav Stickley, but also touches on the contributions of local architect Ward Wellington Ward, stained glass craftsman Henry Keck and Syracuse China artists.

A chalk art contest for artists ranging from young kids to seasoned professionals will delight visitors along the 200 block of Montgomery Street! ADA29th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act

Attendees are then invited to march through Downtown with banners, signs, posters and noisemakers to celebrate the ADA and cross-disabilities awareness.  Music will be provided by David Clark Learning Center band and the Midler Melodies. Congratulations to our Downtown partner, Eric Mower!

The founder of the Mower Advertising Agency, Eric Mower, has been inducted into the Association of National Advertisers' Business-to-Business Marketing Hall of Fame. When Eric Mower founded the agency in 1968, there were just four employees. today, the company employs 170 people in Syracuse, Buffalo, Rochester, Albany, New York City, Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, North Carolina and Cincinatti.
