The Alabama Housing Finance Authority Board of Directors approved a total of 19 applications from the 2021 Competitive Application Cycle for funding during the September 21, 2021 meeting. The approved projects are located in Barbour, Blount, Clarke, Conecuh, Covington, Dekalb, Fayette, Houston, Jefferson, Lauderdale, Lee, Madison, Mobile, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Randolph, Shelby, and Talladega counties and include the following:
- 8 Elderly
- 11 Family
- 12 New Construction Projects
- 7 Acquisition/Rehabilitation Projects
- 8 utilizing Housing Credits and HOME Funds
- 10 utilizing Housing Credits
- 1 utilizing Housing Credits and National Housing Trust Funds
- 1,011 Total Units
- 72 Units Set Aside for Disabled and/or Homeless Tenants
