Dear Friends in Christ,

Today’s mailing contains important information about the updates to the regulations governing the Paycheck Protection Plan, as well as information about contact tracing. There is also a virtual Marriage Summit available, starting  tomorrow . We want to make you aware of the program “Walking With Moms in Need,” initiated by the USCCB to assist mothers especially during this challenging time. And please pray especially for Kathie Cooper as she has her surgery tomorrow. May the Holy Spirit guide her doctors and nurses in their work!

MOTHERS IN NEED
Walking with Moms in Need: A Year of Service during the Coronavirus Pandemic
When more than 20% of the workforce is unemployed or underemployed, when parents struggle with balancing life and home schooling, every pregnancy may be challenging. Each parish is asked to identify its available local pregnancy help resources and conduct an honest assessment of its efforts in assisting pregnant women in need. Each parish should identify potential gaps that need to be addressed – in short, to truly and concretely accompany each pregnant woman in need. Learn more about this USCCB initiative  HERE  . Read the Pastoral Center Office letter  HERE

INFORMATION ABOUT CONTACT TRACING
The Oregon Health Authority wants people to know what to expect if they get a call from a contact tracer. The OHA emphasizes that the information it collects is not shared with other agencies, including immigration. It also warns about scammers posing as Health Department workers and states that contact tracers will NEVER ask for social security numbers, immigration status or financial information. See the latest bulletin  HERE .

The Food, Family, Faith Program is still looking for assistance with refrigerated trucks.  If you know of someone who can help, please contact Pastoral Ministries at  dpm@archdpdx.org .
