Manufacturing Careers Day
We invite you to the 12th Annual Manufacturing Careers Day presented by Partners for Education & Business, Inc. (PEB) and MACNY, The Manufacturers Association! The program will feature companies who have taken a leadership role in promoting awareness of careers in manufacturing.

The event is intended to spark viewers to consider the great careers in manufacturing and technology with incredible employers in our region.

Again this year, we will be celebrating Manufacturing Month throughout October. There will be a full calendar of virtual events highlighting manufacturing companies and careers in CNY. Please check out the upcoming schedule at the bottom of this email! Each video will be delivered straight to your inbox and ready to be shared with students on the mornings listed.

Let us help you explore STEM career opportunities that exist right here in Central New York as we continue our, “You Do What For a Living?” series featuring David Goodness, Regional Director for the Workforce Development Institute. David will be sharing about his journey of leaving college to complete a Registered Apprenticeship for pipefitting.

We will showcase Huhtamaki, located in Fulton, NY and their use of advanced technology to produce a wide-range of food containers for many well-known brands in the food industry.

On this day we will be featuring Novelis in Oswego, NY. They are the largest recycler of aluminum in the world and produce aluminum cans and body parts for the Ford F-150 pick-up truck.

Explore STEM career opportunities that exist in Central New York as we continue our, “You Do What For a Living?” series featuring Mitch Patterson, Studio Director and Founder of Wolfjaw Studios. Mitch shares how his passion of video games led him to owning his own game studio and working on some of the biggest games in the world.

Don’t miss this year's
Pathways to Careers, hosted by The CNY School Boards Association. The event, highlighted by a panel of local school administrators and current apprentices discussing multiple career pathways available with our regional employers, will begin on Wednesday, October 20th, at 5:30 p.m. A great event for students, teachers, and parents alike. Watch your inbox for registration information for this event which will be offered both in-person at OCM BOCES and virtually.
