Friday Bulletin
June 5, 2020
Greetings!

Your Friday Bulletin is packed with motivating stories and reliable resources, information, and programs with your  back-to-business  and  back-to-work  plans in mind. Today, Lane County moves into Phase II reopening. We’re working on updating our  Back to Business Guide to Reopening with those newly released guidelines. Until then, here are some other great resources:

  • As you prepare and retool your place of business you may be in the market for safety and sanitation supplies. Now you can now support local businesses by ordering from our Safety Gear Exchange page. We’ll continue to update the page as local member producers and suppliers of PPE register on the list.
  • If you’re so inclined, sign and share our #LoveLaneBiz Pledge to show your support and your commitment to keeping Lane County safe as we get back to business, and back to work.
  • For some extra reading, check out our latest issue of the Bottom Line released yesterday, highlighting Leadership in times of crises.

We’re putting the finishing touches on a number of other resources for our members, so stay tuned. We thank you for your support, thoughtfulness and resiliency. Remember, we’re here for you and your business, and we’re always just a phone call away.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Lane County Transitions to Phase 2 Re-Opening
What changes can I expect during phase 2?
Counties that enter Phase 2 will be able to continue with the reopening process, following updated health and safety guidance:
  • Gathering limits will be raised to 50 people indoors, and 100 people outdoors.
  • Indoor and outdoor venues, including theaters and churches, with 6 feet of physical distancing and other measures in place, can reach a COVID-19 occupancy limit of up to 250.
  • Offices can begin reopening and employees can return to workplaces with physical distancing and other measures in place, though remote work is still strongly recommended whenever possible.
  • Increased travel will be allowed throughout Oregon, though staying local is still recommended to prevent overloading county health systems.
  • Restaurants and bars will have curfews extended to midnight.
  • Pools and sports courts will be allowed to reopen under new guidance.
  • Indoor and outdoor activities such as bowling, batting cages, and mini golf, will be allowed to reopen under new guidance.
  • Recreational sports can resume in a limited form, under strict physical distancing guidance.

Member Continuity and Relief Options
We are deeply appreciative of our members’ support to the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, and grateful for the sacrifices you’ve made to protect the health of our community, employees, and families during these unprecedented times.

Many of our members who are feeling the greatest impacts are the same local small businesses and non-profit organizations that have and will define us as a community. We are very aware of the overwhelmingly difficult decisions you may be facing. We are equally aware of the financial burdens.

To this end, we’ve established multiple COVID-19 member continuity and relief options that we think you’ll find of value, including the Membership Match Program, sponsored by Oregon Community Credit Union. If you have any questions about our COVID-19 member continuity and relief options, please reach out to our Member Services team at  max@springfield-chamber.org .
