2019 UUA General Assembly Sunday Morning Worship
|

"How are you?" people ask. "Oh, so busy," many of us reply with a tone of exhaustion. Sometimes we wear this "busy" status as a badge of honor, an outward sign that must mean what we are doing is productive and positive and a measure of our self-worth. Borrowing from a 2016 presentation by Rev. Emily Wright-Magoon at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Midland, TX as well as some additional sources, we'll delve into a few of the labels we place on ourselves as well as their weight on our self-perception, and we'll examine this in relation to our First and Seventh Principles.

Summer Special Collection
|
The Special Collection for June, July, and August will be for the harvesting of "seed money" for our annual congregational project. Between now and June 2020, this congregation will be partnering with the fabulous Kane Street Garden, as part of our initiative on social and environmental justice. Money for supplies is needed by our Social Justice Team.
Place cash in the specially-marked envelopes, or write a check to "UU La Crosse" with the words "Kane Street" on the memo line.
UU La Crosse is a 501 c(3) organization.

Update from the Visioning Team
The Visioning team is nearly finished with collecting data from our members and friends. This includes 12 listening sessions as well as email responses.
If you have not been able to attend a listening session and want your input included please email Cindy Ericksen at
cindyericksen@gmail.com
.
She will send you the questions and you can respond in an email. By the beginning of July we will have collated all the data and determined themes. We will share the themes sometime in July. We are in the process of collating the data from 14 community partners we interviewed. Look for this data soon!

Interested in Helping Out at the Fellowship?
A great way to do this is to join a Hospitality Team! There are several ways to help out on a Sunday when you are a part of one of these teams: setting up, cleaning up, greeting, counting money, bringing treats, washing towels, or bringing cream for coffee. Some take no time at all, and some are more time intensive. Each team covers the Sundays in one month four times a year. You can choose whatever suits your situation, yet your participation in the well-being of the Fellowship will feel so rewarding. Contact

Square Dances Starting at Boothill Pub
NEXT DANCE: June 25th, 7pm
This is Annake Ramsey - please help spread the word to those who might be interested. When we lived in Viroqua a favorite activity was going to a square dance with great old time music in Viroqua and Gays Mills. Now our favorite square dance callers and musicians are traveling to La Crosse to start a dance community here. This is a great all ages activity!
Here is a video of Tim, who called April’s dance, doing an event in Viroqua.
Join us in May and bring your friends!
