SAINT MARK'S MISSION & OUTREACH
Important Church Reopening Survey for ALL Parishioners of St. Mark's
We need your help!

In the coming weeks and months the clergy, vestry and staff will be working to develop a measured and well-planned way to slowly return to some in-person aspects of church but we will be doing so in a way that endeavors to do what the love of God demands, that we care for one another in the way that we gather and do all in our power to keep one another safe.

As we prepare and plan to resume some in-person worship and activities, we would love to know your thoughts and benefit from your wisdom.

Please take a few minutes to answer some brief questions and write some responses in our online survey that should only take a few minutes (less than 10) to complete. Please complete this survey by Thursday, June 11.

Be sure to click "Continue" at the bottom of each section of questions. Also, be sure to click "Submit" when you have finished the survey.

Honoring High School Seniors
back_view_of_happy_student.jpg
This Sunday, June 7, St. Mark’s will honor our 2020 graduating high school seniors. We are extremely proud of the eight youth in our community who graduated from high school this year. These seniors will take part in the liturgy this week and receive a blessing. As is St. Mark’s tradition, each youth will also receive a personalized Book of Common Prayer to carry with them as their journey in life continues.
Upcoming Class: Dealing with Anxiety through Humor
Wednesdays at 11:00 am, June 10, 17, 24, and July 1
Facilitated by Pauline Artery.

Based on the premise that humor is a gift from God which provides respite from the cares and worries of our world, this class will explore the benefits of laughter and having a sense of humor. Participants will be asked to take part in some activities which are designed to encourage creativity and exercise the humor muscles. The first class will include why have a class on humor. Next, we will look into theories and examples of why we laugh and why we need to. We will share favorite stories, jokes, cartoon, etc. The wrap-up class will be devoted to what we have learned together, when, where, and how humor can be used, and the recognition that some things simply are not funny.
