Executive Director's Message - Jenny Berg
I have been very fortunate to work alongside many talented men and women in my life. And I'm so excited to announce that I can add Jay Shatz to this list of colleagues!
Leadership Council for Nonprofits is so pleased to welcome Jay to our team as our BOLD: Board Orientation + Leadership Development Program Director. Jay is a former WCPO and Emmy Award winning reporter. His unique combination of business experience owning a successful TV production company producing more than 700 hours programming for HGTV and DIY, coupled with his multi-year Emmy award winning television and journalism career, and extensive nonprofit leadership for organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Interfaith Hospitality Network, Caracole, Social Venture Partners and Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio make him a perfect fit match for his passion of developing the next generation of board leaders.  There is no doubt Jay’s eternal optimism & experiences will elevate the power and ability for anyone to be at the nonprofit board table as a passionate, focused and knowledgeable servant leader that changes lives and makes our community a better place to live.

Funding is the lifeblood for all organizations in the business of social change. But when your resources are limited, so is your impact.

From galas to golf outings, many traditional in-person fundraising events were essentially nonexistent throughout 2020, and although some have slowly reemerged throughout 2021, it's likely that this form of securing financial security across the social sector will be changed forever. Board Meeting Observations
The Board Orientation + Leadership Development (BOLD) program provides its participants a chance to observe nonprofit board meetings. This year, we are encouraging our Leadership Council for Nonprofit member organizations to consider this opportunity. Members have typically been willing to allow 2-3 participants to observe their meetings at a time. BOLD class dates are here.

If you are available to host a BOLD participant to observe your meeting please complete this form. All information will remain confidential, and the observer will be making notes on this observation sheet.
We are launching the Nonprofit Salesforce User Group in the fall of 2021 to help Greater Cincinnati nonprofits leverage Salesforce and other innovative technology to accelerate impact like never before. The group will be facilitated by Heath Parks of Cincinnati Works, Amy Kerdolff of Brighton Center, and Jeremy Donelan of Prolocity. We would love your feedback to help us shape this group: Click here to submit a 10-minute survey to share your thoughts on the format and topics that would be most valuable to you and your organization.
